PROCESS
Union Studio pieces are designed and built by master metalsmith Michelle Keller. Each piece is built with a construction knowledge that is above the bar and hand built with wearability, comfort, and artistic style in mind.
From start to finish your jewelry is well planned with you in mind. It all starts with either a drawing or experimentation with materials in the studio where designs are born. After the designing phase the new piece is constructed which involves cutting, sanding, filing, soldering, forming, stone setting, etc. Basically every piece of jewelry that leaves our shop has been lit on fire and beat up on the anvil until it becomes a wearable, unique piece of art!
Here's a brand video for USM that was a fun collaboration with a variety of talented folks and a great glimpse inside the creative process of building jewelry. Adam Bove (videographer), Brandon Schrichten (editor), Kate Rolston (photographer), Dave Lehl (photographer), Elise Nadia Chodkowski, and Michelle Keller (jeweler).
